About Run to the Sun LHC

Run to the Sun is Lake Havasu City’s premier annual classic car event, attracting thousands of car enthusiasts from across the country. Now heading into its 47th year, this iconic gathering celebrates the beauty, craftsmanship, and history of classic cars, trucks, and hot rods.

Each October, over 600 vintage vehicles cruise into Lake Havasu City, turning the town into a vibrant showcase of automotive excellence. Participants and spectators alike enjoy a packed schedule of activities, including a car show and awards ceremony, all set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Havasu.

With a rich tradition and a strong sense of community, Run to the Sun offers something for everyone—whether you're a lifelong gear head or simply love the nostalgia of classic cars. From the meticulously restored vehicles to the friendly atmosphere, this event captures the spirit of the open road and the passion of car lovers everywhere.

About Run to the Sun

Born out of a passion for classic vehicles, the Run to the Sun car show has evolved from a modest 1978 event into a premier gathering, now drawing over 800 entries.

Initially called "Camp-O-Rama," it began with just 28 vehicles but has grown to feature a diverse array of 1977 and older classic, restored, and hot rod cars and trucks. Also featured are 1978 to current year American Factory Muscles and Corvettes.
